Parties are gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, with many leaders switching their parties. Speculations are in Punjab that Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sheetal Angural and MP Sushil Kumar Rinku will likely switch to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday.
As per the sources, Rinku at present is in Ayodhya and denied the rumours of him joining the BJP. They further added that the clarity will surface once Rinku arrives back in Jalandhar this evening.
MP from Jalandhar, Rinku previously was also associated with the Congress and is among the 8 candidates of AAP whose candidacy has been confirmed by the party in its first list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections of Punjab.
MLA Sheetal Angural at present is the representative from Jalandhar West constituency.
The other seven candidates that AAP announced include - Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib, Gurmeet Singh Khudian from Bathinda, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Sangrur, Balbir Singh from Patiala, Gurpreet Singh GP its candidate from the Fatehgarh Sahib seat, and Punjabi actor Karamjit Anmol.
