It is expected that on or after the 75th anniversary of DMK, changes can be made to the State Cabinet.
September 17, 2024, marks the 75th anniversary of the launch of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin before leaving for the US has made a statement that “change was inevitable”.
Now, when he has returned from the US, when asked about the previous statement, Stalin hinted on fulfilling everyone’s expectations, stating that DMK leaders know how to walk the talk.
“DMK will be celebrating its 75th anniversary. I hope there will certainly be a situation that will fulfil your expectations,” he told the media.
Stalin also said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) and to get funds for the State, including for the implementation of the Metro Rail Project II. Responding to the Centre’s condition that the State would get funds only if it implemented the NEP, the Chief Minister said the Minister and officials had already held discussions with the Centre on the issue.
Stalin further added that his trip to the US was a great success and his government would implement the memoranda of understanding (MoUs) signed with the companies and generate employment.
The chief minister, who had signed 19 MoUs with Fortune 500 companies, described the decision of Ford to resume its production in Tamil Nadu as a great achievement.
Stalin has, reportedly, signed MoUs for investment worth ₹7,616 crore for projects.
