Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra on Friday revealed his selection as one of the torchbearers for the upcoming Paris Olympics Games. 

The 41-year-old shooting legend took to 'X' to express his excitement and gratitude, emphasising the torch as a symbol of collective spirit and the potency of dreams.

Abhinav Bindra etched his name in history as India's inaugural individual gold medalist at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, securing the top spot in the men's 10m air rifle event. 

His selection as a torchbearer underscores his enduring impact on Indian sports and global recognition.

The Paris Olympics Games are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

Bindra's role as a torchbearer not only honours his illustrious career but also positions India as a country successful in the realm of sports.
