The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will felicitate the India national cricket team that won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup during its annual BCCI Naman Awards ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday.
The side led by Suryakumar Yadav scripted history earlier this month by lifting the title after defeating New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8.
Coached by Gautam Gambhir, the Indian team became the first side to win the T20 World Cup three times, the first to defend the title successfully and the first to achieve the feat on home soil.
The Naman Awards ceremony will also recognise four other Indian teams that have captured major International Cricket Council titles in recent years, marking the first time that five ICC-title-winning national sides will be honoured together at the event.
These include the Indian women’s team that won the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in 2025, the men’s team that lifted the ICC Champions Trophy the same year, the Under-19 men’s team that secured the ICC Under‑19 Cricket World Cup in 2026, and the women’s Under-19 side that won the ICC Women's Under‑19 T20 World Cup in 2025.
The BCCI has also confirmed several individual honours to be presented at the ceremony.
