China has continued its commendable performance at the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games in Milano and Cortina, Italy, further extending its lead on the medal table with strong showings in para alpine skiing, para cross-country skiing, and wheelchair curling events.
 
Its nearest rival, the United States, holds second place, while host nation Italy has climbed to third with impressive performances on ice and snow.
 
Friday’s action featured intense wheelchair curling matches, culminating in the mixed team gold medal contest between China and Canada on Sheet C at the Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena.
 
In para ice hockey, China secured the bronze medal, while the gold medal showdown went down to the wire between North American powerhouses Canada and the United States at the same arena.
