The 2011 ODI World Cup victory saw even greater rewards, with players initially promised Rs 1 crore each, later revised to Rs 2 crore.

Support staff received Rs 50 lakh each, and selectors were awarded Rs 25 lakh.

Back in 2007, after India won the ICC World T20, the team collectively earned INR 12 crore.

For the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, the BCCI has announced a substantial increase in prize money.

According to a report, each of the 15 squad members will receive Rs 5 crore, including those who did not play a single match.

Additionally, the four reserve players will earn Rs 2.5 crore each.

Head coach Rahul Dravid will be awarded Rs 5 crore, matching the players’ rewards.

His coaching staff will receive Rs 1 crore each, while the backroom staff, including physios and throwdown specialists, will earn Rs 2 crore each.

The selectors are set to receive Rs 1 crore each.
