A case has been registered against cricketer Yash Dayal of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for sexually exploiting a woman on the pretext of marriage, police added on Tuesday. The FIR was registered against Dayal (27) at Indirapuram police station on Sunday under section BNS 69 (sex by fraudulent means, including a promise of marriage), a senior police officer said.

The move was made after a woman lodged a complaint to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath via IGRS (integrated grievance redressal system) on Jun 21, accusing that she was physically exploited by the cricketer with whom she was in a five-year relationship.
Dayal was unavailable for comments.
