The Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), India’s leading tennis-ball T10 competition, will conduct its Season 3 auction on December 9 in Mumbai, with 408 players from 101 cities set to go under the hammer for what is expected to be the league’s most competitive edition yet.

Season 3 will be held at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat from February 9 January to 6, 2026. Of the 408 players in the auction pool, 400 were shortlisted through trials, including 30 under-19 prospects. Each franchise will also add one “scout pick” to the pool, taking the final number to 408.

Players have been categorised into six groups, U-19, West, East, Central, South and North, and carry a base price of ₹3 lakh. The franchise purse has been increased from ₹1 crore to ₹1.5 crore, while squad limits have been expanded from 16 to 18 players. Teams may also use the “Googly Power”, a mechanism permitting an abrupt ₹1 lakh bid jump during intense auction phases. Returning franchises will have two Right-to-Match cards each.

Each team must sign at least two players from every zone and two U-19 players. One U-19 player and one representative from each zone must be part of every playing XI. All 18 squad members must feature in at least one match during the season.

ISPL’s Core Committee, Sachin Tendulkar, Ashish Shelar, Minal Amol Kale and Suraj Samat, described the auction as central to the league’s mission of elevating grassroots cricket.

“Season 3… is another important step for grassroots cricket in India,” Tendulkar said, noting the rise of new talent each year. Shelar highlighted the diversity of participants from 101 cities, while Kale said the auction would unveil fresh stars. Samat added that the auction format, including the “Googly Power”, had been crafted to ensure fairness and strategic depth.

The MVP of Season 3 will take home a Porsche 911, highlighting the league’s growing profile. Two new franchises, Delhi Superheros and Ahmedabad Lions, join six returning teams for the upcoming season.
