I love watching Chris Gayle's explosive batting. I usually watch him on TV, but seeing him live here in Kashmir is a dream come true,” said Irshad Ahmad, who also plays for the local franchise league.
“Cricket in Kashmir is the next big thing, and the talent of Kashmiri youth is nothing less than that of other states.
J&K players can excel on the international level, especially with formats like IPL, which offers all the right mixes for players to become stars,” said Bashir Ahmad, a retired police officer.
He said, “It is a great thing that youngsters in Kashmir are pursuing sports as full-time careers and looking to make a name like our two youngsters, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad, are doing.”
“I am super excited to watch Chris Gayle playing in front of me. It’s an amazing feeling, and I can’t wait to see him in action,” said Zaid from Srinagar.
