Liverpool made light work of Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup, cruising to a 4-0 victory at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. The Reds demonstrated a perfect mix of attacking brilliance and solid defence, ensuring their progression to the fourth round.

The game’s opening goal arrived in the 30th minute, following a lightning-quick counter-attack. Accrington had just earned a corner when Liverpool capitalised on the opportunity.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was captaining the team for the day, delivered a precise pass down the right side to Darwin Núñez. The striker raced forward, pulling the ball back for Diogo Jota, who made no mistake, slotting it home from close range to give Liverpool the lead.

Alexander-Arnold, who had been under intense scrutiny in recent matches, silenced his critics with a stunning goal just before halftime.

Picking up the ball outside the box, he unleashed a powerful strike that curled into the top corner, doubling Liverpool's advantage and leaving Stanley with little hope of a comeback.

In the second half, Accrington Stanley fought to get back into the game. Josh Woods came close to reducing the deficit when his header was deflected for a corner.

Minutes later, Woods had another chance, getting on the end of a delivery from Whalley, but his powerful effort crashed against the crossbar, leaving Stanley still searching for a goal.

Liverpool continued to press forward, and substitute Jayden Danns made an immediate impact when he was in the right place at the right time. Federico Chiesa had his shot saved, but Danns was quick to pounce on the rebound, firing it into the net in the 74th minute to make it 3-0.

Chiesa, who had been unlucky earlier in the match after hitting the post, finally found the back of the net in the 90th minute. The Italian forward picked up the ball from distance and drove a low, powerful shot into the bottom corner, sealing the win and marking his first goal for Liverpool.
