Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 3 wickets with 20 balls to spare in a crucial Indian Premier League match on Friday night. Batting first, CSK posted a competitive 187 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant 71 off 42 balls by Kartik Sharma.
He stitched a crucial 70-run partnership to take CSK out of trouble, smashing five sixes and six boundaries while steering the innings.
For LSG, pacer Akash Singh returned with impressive figures of 3 for 26, rattling Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, and Urvit Patel.

LSG captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first.
While chasing the target, the LSG batting line-up made light work of the 188-run chase.

He smashed seven sixes and nine boundaries, sending the home crowd into jubilation as their team had been struggling in this year’s IPL edition.
His knock ensured LSG reached the target comfortably in 16.4 overs.
