For many adventure enthusiasts, scaling Mount Everest represents the pinnacle of human endurance and ambition. For Indian mountaineer Tulasi Reddy Palpunoori, however, the climb became far more than an expedition—it evolved into a remarkable story of resilience, discipline, perseverance and personal transformation that has inspired many.
Hailing from Bowrampet village near Hyderabad, Tulasi successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest after years of rigorous training, physical conditioning and relentless preparation. His achievement marked the culmination of a long journey built on consistency, sacrifice and determination.
What makes Tulasi’s accomplishment especially inspiring is the simplicity of how his journey began. Once known as a foodie who initially started exercising merely to improve his fitness, he gradually transformed his lifestyle through disciplined workouts, healthier habits and a growing passion for endurance sports and mountaineering.
Over the years, his commitment pushed him towards increasingly difficult challenges. He took part in several local running events, completed the gruelling Ironman challenge and participated in numerous high-altitude expeditions across different parts of the world.

As his experience and confidence grew, Tulasi went on to conquer several iconic peaks globally, including Mount Elbrus at 5,642 metres, Aconcagua at 6,961 metres, Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 metres and Kang Yatse at 6,400 metres. Each expedition added to his endurance, technical skill and mental toughness, ultimately preparing him for the challenge of Everest.
Reflecting on his achievement, Tulasi said the Everest summit was the outcome of years of dedication, sacrifices and unwavering preparation. “Everest was the result of years of discipline, sacrifice and consistent preparation. This achievement belongs to everyone who supported me throughout the journey,” he said.
He expressed gratitude to his family members, Sherpa support team, friends and expedition guides Bharath Thammineni and Romil Barthwal from Boots and Crampons for standing by him throughout the demanding expedition.
Sharing their joy, Tulasi’s family described the successful ascent as one of the proudest moments of their lives. “Today is one of the proudest moments for our family. Years of sacrifice, courage and determination have finally led Tulasi to stand on top of the world,” the family said.
