Paris Saint-Germain secured their place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals after overcoming Liverpool in a dramatic penalty shootout at Anfield.
Gianluigi Donnarumma emerged as the hero for the French side, making two crucial saves to ensure PSG's progression alongside Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan.
The second-leg encounter saw PSG claim a 1-0 victory, levelling the aggregate score at 1-1.
Ousmane Dembélé capitalised on a defensive lapse by Liverpool in the 12th minute, slotting home the only goal of the match. With neither side able to break the deadlock in extra time, the contest was decided from the spot.
Donnarumma denied Darwin Núñez and Curtis Jones, while PSG's Desire Doue converted the winning penalty, handing his side a 4-1 triumph in the shootout.
“It does not matter if we deserve the win. Both teams deserved to go through,” said PSG coach Luis Enrique. “We were better in Paris, and they were better here. My team showed great personality and character at Anfield.”
Liverpool, who had secured a 1-0 victory in Paris through a late goal from Harvey Elliott, fell short in their attempt to advance. Manager Arne Slot lauded his side's effort, calling it “the best game of football I have ever been involved in.”
Barcelona cruises into Quarter-finals
Barcelona made light work of Benfica with a 3-1 victory at Camp Nou, sealing a 4-1 aggregate win.
Raphinha starred with a brace, while Lamine Yamal added a goal and an assist, making history as the second-youngest scorer in a Champions League knockout fixture at 17 years and 241 days.
“My teammates make things much easier for me,” said Yamal. “It was a good goal but sometimes these things come off and sometimes they don’t.”

Benfica’s Nicolás Otamendi found the net in the 13th minute, becoming the third-oldest scorer in a Champions League knockout game at 37 years and 27 days, according to UEFA statistics.
Bayern Munich continued their dominant run, comfortably dispatching Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 to secure a 5-0 aggregate win.
Harry Kane played a pivotal role, scoring his 10th Champions League goal of the season and assisting Alphonso Davies for Bayern’s second.
Leverkusen never looked likely to overturn the three-goal deficit from the first leg, and Bayern might have added to their tally, with Jamal Musiala striking both the crossbar and the post.
Inter ease past Feyenoord
Inter Milan sealed their spot in the last eight with a 2-1 victory over Feyenoord, advancing 4-1 on aggregate.
Marcus Thuram produced a moment of brilliance early in the match, weaving through the Dutch defence before firing into the top corner.
Jakub Moder levelled from the penalty spot before half-time after being fouled by Hakan Çalhanoğlu.
However, Çalhanoğlu restored Inter’s lead with a penalty of his own in the 51st minute after Mehdi Taremi was brought down by Thomas Beelen.
Bayern and Inter will now face each other in the quarter-finals, while PSG awaits the winner of Aston Villa vs. Club Brugge, and Barcelona will take on either Borussia Dortmund or Lille.
