Indian badminton champion PV Sindhu tied the knot with Venkat Datta in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Udaipur. The news of their union was shared by Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who attended the event and congratulated the couple.
"Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead," Shekhawat wrote on social media, along with the couple's first photo.
For her special day, PV Sindhu chose a magnificent golden silk saree, breaking away from the more common bridal lehenga. The saree, a true masterpiece, featured intricate sequin embellishments and delicate zari work throughout, complemented by its heavy golden borders that added a regal touch. She paired it with a matching embellished blouse and completed her look with a dupatta elegantly draped over her head.
Her accessories included a diamond-studded maang tikka, statement drop earrings, stacked bangles, and a bejeweled ring bracelet. Sindhu's dewy makeup and neatly styled bun further elevated her bridal ensemble, making her a vision of grace.
The groom, Venkat Datta, matched Sindhu’s elegance in a golden sherwani adorned with intricate zari embroidery. He completed his traditional look with matching pants and a dupatta draped in a regal style, perfectly complementing his bride’s attire.
The PV Sindhu wedding was an intimate affair, attended only by close family and friends. The couple is now looking forward to their wedding reception, where they have invited prominent figures like Sachin Tendulkar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sharing their excitement for the future, the couple mentioned, “We both love celebrating festivals, and family traditions are incredibly important to us. We look forward to carrying these traditions forward with immense joy in the years ahead.”
The PV Sindhu wedding was a celebration of love, tradition, and elegance, leaving fans eager to see more glimpses of the happy couple.
