Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crushed Delhi Capitals (DC) by nine wickets courtesy of a bowling master class from Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The duo almost finished the contest in the first three overs of the game. Delhi struggled badly after their batting line-up was reduced to 13 for 6 in just six overs.

Hazlewood, with his tight line, length and movement off the deck, picked up 4 wickets for 12 runs, while his bowling partner Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 3 for 5 as Delhi were bowled out for a paltry 75 in 16.3 overs.

From Delhi’s side, only Abhishek Porel (30), David Miller (19) and Kyle Jamieson (12) reached double figures.

Batting second, runs came easily for RCB with Kohli’s 23 and Bethel’s 20 giving the visitors a quick start.

Bethel was the only wicket to fall during RCB’s run chase after a sharp reflex catch by T Natarajan off Jamieson’s bowling.

Devdutt Padikkal then made 34 as RCB completed the chase in just 6.3 overs.

Delhi’s struggle began on the second ball of the innings when Kumar bowled debutant Sahil Parakh with an inswinging yorker. Hazlewood then completed the demolition job by picking two wickets in two balls, removing last match centurion KL Rahul for 1 and Sameer Rizvi for a duck.

DC have only one win in their last five outings, while RCB have four wins in their last five games.

Brief Scores:
DC 75 all out in 16.3 overs
RCB 77/1 in 6.3 overs
