Former India head coach Ravi Shastri, a veteran cricket commentator, has shared a striking photo from Antigua, where he is covering the T20 World Cup. 

 

Shastri, who transitioned back to full-time broadcasting after stepping down as head coach in 2021, continues to be a key figure during tosses at major matches.

 

The former cricketer, known for his carefree persona, posted a picture of himself enjoying breakfast in a bathrobe, with the stunning Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. Shastri's charismatic and carefree persona continues to shine through. His appearance during the India vs Afghanistan match drew attention, particularly due to his distinctive green hat.

 

At the toss, where Rohit Sharma's team secured a 47-run victory, Shastri's outfit turned heads.

 

He later revealed during commentary that the hat was handcrafted by a local artisan named Stephen on Barbados' West Coast beach.

 

"He pitched yesterday and said 'I will make one for you, man.' And he did it literally in five minutes. That's a skill," Shastri shared with fellow commentator Dinesh Karthik.

 

Shastri has been in top form behind the microphone throughout the T20 World Cup.

 

His dynamic presence was particularly noted during the India vs Pakistan clash in New York earlier this month.

 

His enthusiastic welcome for the fans during the toss impressed both Rohit Sharma and Babar Azam.
