Renowned Indian playback singer Shreya Ghoshal will perform at the grand opening ceremony of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in Guwahati, ahead of the tournament opener between India and Sri Lanka. Ghoshal, who has also lent her voice to the official tournament anthem, Bring it Home, will deliver a live performance celebrating the spirit, energy, and unity of women’s cricket on the global stage.
The ICC unveiled ticketing and entertainment plans for the month-long competition, which will be played across four Indian cities and Colombo, Sri Lanka. The 2025 edition aims to set a new benchmark in accessibility, with round-robin league tickets in India priced at just Rs 100 (approx. USD 1.14) in the first phase—a fan-friendly initiative designed to fill stadiums and encourage widespread support for the women’s game.
Fans will enjoy exclusive pre-sale access through Google Pay from 19:00 IST on Thursday, September 4, until 19:00 IST on Monday, September 8. The public sale will open from 20:00 IST on Tuesday, September 9. During the first phase, tickets for all round-robin matches will be available exclusively to Google Pay users, with registration open for the second phase.
The opening ceremony promises to be a vibrant showcase of culture, music, and cricketing excellence. The ICC said Shreya Ghoshal’s performance will be accompanied by thematic visuals and live activations, setting the tone for a festival celebrating women’s cricket and empowerment.
