Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have beaten Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a high-scoring thriller at their home ground, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. In reply to RR’s 229 target, the SRH batters, with some scintillating batting displays, chased down the target in 18.3 overs.
 
SRH did not panic under the massive total put up by the Rajasthan Royals and kept their composure while chasing down the target.
 
Batting first, RR batters, including the teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, smashed a historic century in just 36 balls. He hit twelve sixes in his innings while also sharing a 100-run partnership with Dhruv Jurel, who contributed a vital 51 off 35 balls to help Rajasthan post a strong total of 228/6.
 
Batting second, the fired-up openers Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan started the chase with blistering hitting, taking their team’s total to 89/1 in the first six overs. Kishan, who has been in the form of his life, scored 74 off 31 deliveries with eleven boundaries and three sixes.
 
Sharma scored 57 off 29 balls, allowing the Sunrisers to dominate the contest from the outset of the second innings.
 
Despite the fightback by the RR bowlers, especially from Jofra Archer, who finished with two wickets, the Sunrisers remained resilient.
 
Nitish Kumar Reddy contributed a crucial 36 off 18 balls to keep the momentum firmly in favour of the visiting side.

RR 228/6 in 20 overs.
SRH 229/5 in 18.3 overs.
