As many as ten labourers were injured on Sunday evening after a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road near Dhera Ki Gali in the Bufliaz area of Surankote in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials confirmed on Monday.
According to officials, the labourers were returning from work when the vehicle reportedly lost control and skidded off the road.
Shortly after the accident, local residents rushed to the spot and started rescuing the people stuck inside the vehicle.
The injured were quickly rushed to the Government Hospital Surankote for treatment.
While six were discharged after receiving first aid, the four others were kept at the hospital for further treatment, they said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to probe the cause of the accident.
