Buzzing Blooms: Punjab teen enters India Book of Records

Gunisha’s journey started with her pursuit of a passion for environmental conservation, following which she started collaborating with the local organizations on multiple green projects.

In a remarkable display of dedication and a bid to save the environment, 15-year-old Gunisha Kaur from Ludhiana, Punjab, has been recognised by the prestigious India Book of Records for 2025. Being recognised for the same, Gunisha was awarded an accolade, which highlights her achievements and extraordinary efforts in securing five 'Letters of Appreciation' from various local bodies, including the Child Welfare Committee (Ludhiana), Aas-Ehsas NGO, Philanthropy Club, and others, for her innovative project, "Buzzing Blooms".
 
Born on 18 July 2009, Gunisha has an inspiring commitment to environmental sustainability. She started several projects, including the "Buzzing Blooms" initiative, promoting and envisioning a greener environment. This did not impact her studies. Being an eco-lover, Gunisha studied hard with dedication and scored an impressive 93.2 per cent in her Class X board examinations. 
 
The India Book of Records, known for documenting extraordinary feats by extraordinary individuals, officially issued Gunisha's certificate on 28 July 2025. The document highlights her achievement at the tender age of 15 years and 11 months, marking her as a rising star in both community service and academics.
 
 
Gunisha’s journey started with her pursuit of a passion for environmental conservation, following which she started collaborating with the local organizations on multiple green projects. Her project, “Buzzing Blooms,” is dedicated to creating pollinator-friendly locations that support biodiversity and raise awareness of the urgent need to protect wildlife and natural ecosystems. The appreciation letters she has received from important bodies show the strength of her work, along with the motivation and empowerment she sparked from her projects, her peers, and members of the community.  
 
India Book of Records (IBR) is an organization that recognizes and celebrates the unique accomplishments of individuals, organizations, and groups. Established and registered with the Government of India, India Book of Records has published an annual record book since 2006, chronicling records of excellence in various categories, including human endeavors, culture and creativity, young achievers, and industry-based records.
