Sixteen people, including ten police personnel, were injured in a road accident involving a bus and a car on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway in Madhya Pradesh’s Shajapur district during the early hours of Friday.
According to Sunera police station in-charge Bharat Singh Kirar, the accident occurred between 1 am and 2 am, approximately 12 kilometers from the Shajapur district headquarters. The bus, carrying on-duty policemen travelling from Bhind district to Ambedkar Nagar (Mhow), collided with a car, causing both vehicles to overturn.
Following the incident, local police teams rushed to the scene and rescued the injured passengers from both the bus and the car. All 16 injured individuals, including the ten police personnel, were immediately taken to the Shajapur district hospital for treatment. Fortunately, none of the injuries were reported to be serious.
While a formal investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident, some local witnesses alleged that the bus rammed into the car. Authorities are currently verifying the claims as part of the ongoing inquiry.
