16 Karnal youths among 50 deported from US

A majority of the deported youths are between 25 and 40 years old. These youths and their families are deeply upset and not willing to speak to anyone. Many of them had sold land or taken heavy loans to pay for the journey, hoping for a better life in US. Now, those dreams have been shattered, leaving them heartbroken and speechless.

Haryana youths who were deported from US. Most of them are aged between 25 and 40 years.


Nearly 50 young men from Haryana have been deported from the United States for entering the country illegally. Among them, 16 are from Karnal, 14 from Kaithal, five from Kurukshetra, and three from Jind. They were brought back to their home districts under police supervision and handed over to their families after brief questioning. Earlier this year, between January and July, many youths from Haryana had also been deported by the US authorities.

Many of them had sold land or taken heavy loans to pay for the journey, hoping for a better life in US. Now, those dreams have been shattered, leaving them heartbroken and speechless.

 

Confirming the return of 16 youths from Karnal, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ganga Ram Punia said they were handed over to the Karnal police in Gurugram and later to their families. The deported youths are Hasan (20) of Popra, Rajat Pal (20) of Singoha, Jashandeep Singh (27) of Bansa, Tajinder Pal (20) of Peont, Harish (20) of Kalsi, Ankur (26) of Rahra, Vikram (40) of Gauhgarh, Gurjant Singh (33) of Bilona, Sachin Malik (29) of Phurlak, Mahinder Singh (30) of Manura, Tushar (22) of Bastali, Nikhil (21) of Karsa Dod, Manish (28) of Agnodh, Priyanshu (20) of Bibipur Jattan, Davinder Singh (39) of Nissing, and Sawan of Gholpura village.

 

SP Kaithal, Upasana, said 14 youths from Kaithal district had also been deported. Police are verifying their background details. “All have been handed over to their families,” she said. The youths are Naresh Kumar (42) of Taragarh, Karan Sharma (23) of Pidhal, Mukesh (37) of Kaithal, Hritik Sharma (21) of Kaithal, Sukhbir Singh (45) of Jadola, Amit Kumar (37) of Habri, Abhishek Kumar (22) of Buchi, Mohit (23) of Batta, Ashok Kumar (21) of Pabnawa, Ashish (27) of Sherda, Damanpreet (20) of Habri, Parbhat Chand (29) of Sisla, Satnam (37) of Pehral, and Diamond (25) of Munarehri village.

 

Gangster Lakhwinder Singh alias Lakha, a resident of Titram village in Kaithal and a close aide of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was also among those deported from the US. He has been arrested by the STF Ambala unit after completing legal formalities.

 

The deported youths from Kurukshetra are Happy (30) of Pehowa, Pardeep (27) of Tikri, Aman Kumar (31) of Mathana, Vikram Singh (30) of Sector-3 Kurukshetra, and Paras Sharma (27) of Ismailbad. Sources said several of them were detained in US prisons for months after being caught by immigration authorities.

 

One of the deported youths said he was arrested soon after crossing the Mexico-US border illegally and remained in jail until his deportation. A Kaithal police spokesperson said Naresh of Taragarh had earlier been booked under the Excise Act in 2022.

 

Jind SP Kuldeep Singh said the three deported youths from Jind were Ajay of Bhairon Khera, Laabjot Singh of Nimnabad, and Naveen of Pillukhera village.
