In a daring act with dramatic turn of events, three inmates broke free from a juvenile home located in Jammu, leaving authorities in a scramble. Among the escapees were two Pakistani nationals, who, along with a local inmate, managed to flee after assaulting two police personnel on duty.
The incident took place at RS Pura, resulting in injuries to the officers. Police have launched an investigation and special teams are conducting raids to capture the escapees.The escape unfolded at around 5.15 pm , as the attackers leveraged the element of surprise. The injured officers were promptly attended to, while additional forces were mobilized to address the breach in security.
"Two of the juveniles have been identified as Karanjeet Singh alias Goga, son of Arjun Singh, a resident of Dablehar in R.S. Pura, and Mohd Sanaullah, son of Mohd Zaffer, a resident of Basti Jawewala, Tehsil Dinpur, District Muzaffargarh, Punjab, Pakistan," they said adding the third juvenile has not yet been identified. They allegedly assaulted the policemen before fleeing the facility," the police said.
Two cops suffered injuries, officials said, adding that the police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation.The trio, they said, fled from the facility along with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AQ-5496."A case has been registered and a search operation launched, even as alert sounded at all nakas and checkpoints in the area and adjoining jurisdictions.The public have been urged to share any information regarding the whereabouts of the juveniles or the motorcycle with the nearest police station," they added.

The incident has raised concerns about security measures in place at the facility.
