In a shocking case of violence, the bodies of two teenage boys were recovered near a drain in Barta village of Haryana’s Kaithal district on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Arman (16) and Prince (14), both residents of the same village.

According to preliminary police investigations, the boys were allegedly murdered by a group of 10 teenagers following a dispute. “Initial findings revealed that one of the victims made a comment about the sister of one of the accused. We are investigating all angles,” said Kaithal Superintendent of Police Astha Modi.

The victims had reportedly left their homes around 5 pm on Sunday and failed to return. Their bodies, bearing multiple injuries inflicted with sharp-edged weapons, were discovered by local villagers early Monday morning while working in nearby fields. The police were immediately informed.

SP Modi, along with the DSP (Headquarters), SHO, and forensic teams, visited the crime scene to initiate the investigation. Evidence was collected by forensic experts, and statements from family members were recorded.

Sub-Inspector Mukesh Kumar, SHO of Sadar police station, confirmed the identities of the victims and stated that both victims were attacked with sharp-edged weapons and the bodies had been handed over to the families following post-mortem examinations, which have been cremated.

A case has been registered under Sections 190, 191(3), 103, 61(2) of the IPC, along with provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Police teams are actively working on leads and have assured that all possible angles are being examined to bring the culprits to justice.
