Three people lost their lives, and over 25 others sustained injuries when a private bus heading to Nagpur overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district early Sunday morning, police officials confirmed.
The accident occurred around 4 a.m. in the Ramanpur Ghati area under the jurisdiction of Bargi police station. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver may have dozed off at the wheel, leading to the mishap.
The bus was traveling from Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh to Nagpur in Maharashtra when the tragic incident took place. Authorities identified the deceased as Malmma (45), a resident of Hyderabad, and Shubham Meshram (28) and Amol Khode (42), both from Nagpur.
Emergency response teams rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to hospitals in Lakhnadon town and Jabalpur city for medical treatment. Officials are continuing their probe to determine the exact cause of the accident.
