The Jind Police have received three local youths who were among 50 people deported from the United States for travelling illegally through the ‘donkey route’.
The youths have been identified as Ajay from Bhairon Khera, Laabjot Singh from Nimnabad, and Naveen from Pillukhera. They were handed over to their families under the supervision of DSP Sandeep Kumar.
DSP Kumar advised that before applying for a visa, people should always verify the agent or organisation carefully and not trust false promises from unknown individuals. “Going abroad illegally is not only a waste of money, but also sends a negative message to society,” he said.
The district police said they were keeping a close watch on such activities and would take strict action against anyone found misleading youths or arranging illegal travel routes.
