Around 40 people were injured in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Jhajjar–Gurugram road near Dadri Tao village on Saturday.
Officials said four of the injured were referred to PGIMS, Rohtak, for advanced treatment. More than 10 others are being treated at Jhajjar Civil Hospital, while the rest were discharged after receiving first aid. No case had been registered till the filing of this report.
The accident took place in the morning when a bus carrying factory workers from Jhajjar to Gurugram was hit by a truck coming from the opposite side. The impact of the collision threw several women passengers off their seats.
Locals and passers-by rushed the injured to Jhajjar Civil Hospital. The truck driver was also hurt and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. Traffic on the busy road was briefly disrupted due to the mishap.
Investigation Officer Vinod Kumar said all the injured were out of danger. However, four of them were referred to PGIMS, Rohtak, for further treatment. “An investigation is under way and action will be taken once formal complaints are filed,” he added.
