Six people, including two women, died, and 16 others were injured in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district on Friday morning, police said.
The accident happened in Manpur, Mhow tehsil, when a motorcycle and a minibus crashed into a trailer truck going down a slope, an official said.
Two men on the motorcycle and two women on the minibus died on the spot. Two more people died later at Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital, Additional Superintendent of Police (Indore Rural) Rupesh Dwivedi said.
Sixteen injured people are receiving treatment, with two in critical condition.
The official added that the minibus passengers were returning to Belgaum, Karnataka, after visiting the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain.
