Seven players from the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) have been listed for the 2026 Indian Premier League auction, which is scheduled to be held on December 16 in Abu Dhabi. Their names appear on the list released on the IPL’s official website.
The players include all-rounder Mayank Dagar, pacer Arpit Guleria, left-handed batsman Pukhraj Mann, fast bowlers Divesh Sharma and Rajat Verma, and all-rounders Aryaman Singh Dhaliwal and Mridul Saroch. All seven have a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
Mayank Dagar is the most prominent name on the list. He made his IPL debut with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023 and was traded to Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2024 for Rs 1.8 crore. He has also played for Punjab Kings.
Right-arm pacer Arpit Guleria also has IPL experience. A resident of Shahpur, Kangra district, he was picked by Lucknow Super Giants as a mid-season replacement in 2023 after Mayank Yadav was ruled out because of injury.
For the remaining five players, the auction offers a chance to secure their first IPL contracts. All have been part of Himachal’s domestic cricket and have played in state-level tournaments in recent times.
HPCA Director Sanjay Sharma said the presence of seven players from the hill state in the auction reflects Himachal Pradesh’s growing cricketing presence. He credited improved infrastructure, better exposure and HPCA’s development programmes for the progress.
