AAP MLA confronts BJP leader over alleged model code violation.


A heated confrontation broke out between workers of the ruling AAP and a BJP leader in Faridkot, Punjab, amid the ongoing civic body polls, which recorded a 13.15 per cent voter turnout till 10 am on Tuesday.

 

AAP MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon from Faridkot cornered BJP leader Sunny Brar, accusing him of violating the Model Code of Conduct.

 

The AAP MLA slammed the BJP leader and alleged that he was misusing Army machinery to gain an unfair advantage in the elections.

 

As per reports, AAP leaders in Faridkot claimed that an Army school bus was being operated under the influence of the BJP leader, who was allegedly trying to illegally ferry voters to polling booths.

 

A video of the alleged confrontation between the two leaders has surfaced on social media, showing them arguing near a stationary Army school bus. AAP leaders raised slogans demanding accountability, while Brar was also seen arguing amid a gathering crowd.


The AAP MLA, along with party workers, demanded immediate action from election observers to check the alleged violations of the Model Code of Conduct during the ongoing civic body polls.

 

Voting, which began at 8 am, is expected to continue until 5 pm.
