Four Punjab Police inspectors accused of assaulting a serving Army officer and his son in Patiala have returned to duty after being missing since March 13, the day the incident happened.

Four Punjab Police inspectors accused of assaulting a serving Army officer and his son in Patiala have returned to duty after being missing since March 13, the day the incident happened.

 

Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath and his son Angad were allegedly beaten up by 12 policemen, including these four inspectors, during a parking dispute near a roadside eatery close to Rajindra Hospital.

 

The four inspectors named Harjinder Dhillon, Harry Boparai, Ronnie Singh, and Shaminder Singh reported to their new postings in Sangrur, Barnala, and Malerkotla on Wednesday.

 

They are still under suspension but have been transferred to Bathinda and Ludhiana. Their return comes after the case was handed over to the CBI for investigation.
