Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, is set to address an election rally in North Goa on Friday, as confirmed by Goa BJP president Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
The rally, scheduled for around 5 pm in Mapusa town, is expected to draw a crowd of over 25,000 attendees.
The BJP has nominated four-time MP Shripad Naik as its candidate from North Goa, with Congress candidate Ramakant Khalap as his main rival, and Revolutionary Goans Party leader Manoj Parab also contesting.
This marks the second major rally organized by the ruling party in Goa ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at a poll rally in South Goa on April 27.
Goa, with two Lok Sabha seats, will vote in the third phase on May 7.
