Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has laid out an new roadmap on Tuesday, aiming to turn the greenfield capital of Amaravati into a global "Quantum Valley".
While addressing thousands of students virtually, Naidu declared his goal for Amaravati to rank among the world's top five quantum computing hubs.
He underscored that the state has plans to lead the sector and not just follow existing trends.
The vision involves more than just research; it focuses on creating a complete manufacturing supply chain, generating thousands of high-value jobs, and fostering next-generation technical skills.
Naidu expressed high confidence in the project's momentum, noting that 80 to 85 per cent of component partners are already on board and predicting that quantum computers will be rolling out of Amaravati within just two years.
To spark a research revolution, he even promised a massive ₹100-crore reward for anyone who bags a Nobel Prize for quantum computing research conducted in Andhra Pradesh. He urged the student community to ditch traditional thinking and instead pivot toward an innovation-led, product-centric future.
