Tensions flared at Guwahati University as a clash erupted between the Guwahati University Students' Union and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) over entry into the BKB Auditorium.
The dispute, stemming from disagreements over access to the venue, quickly escalated into a physical altercation, casting a shadow over the university campus.
Sources indicate that the clash was fueled by ongoing tensions surrounding anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests.
The Guwahati University Students' Union, alongside other student organizations, had been actively protesting against the display of black flags and anti-CAA demonstrations within the university premises.
The incident unfolded amidst the ABVP State Students' Leaders' Conference scheduled to be held at the BKB Auditorium.
As ABVP members gathered for their conference, clashes erupted with the opposing student groups, intensifying the atmosphere and leading to a heated confrontation.
