In a remarkable feat of literary prowess, Rajdeep Kashyap, a BSc Botany student at Nalbari College, has etched his name in the Guinness Book of World Records by authoring a book in just nine hours.
This exceptional accomplishment highlights the burgeoning talent emerging from Assam.
Rajdeep's philosophical book, titled Jonmo Prem Mrityu – Kisu Byogyanik Kisu Aaloukik (Birth Love Death – Some Scientific Some Supernatural), spans 63 pages.
Initially, Rajdeep faced the challenge of providing video evidence of his writing process, a prerequisite for Guinness World Records.
However, with the support and endorsement of his college principal, he successfully substantiated and submitted his achievement.
Inspired by a news report about a Rajasthan student who wrote a book in three days, Rajdeep began his writing journey on May 24 at 3:55 PM and completed it by 1:02 AM the next day, despite taking a brief 30-minute dinner break.
In a local tabloid interview, Rajdeep stated that writing is a hobby rather than a career aspiration. His remarkable achievement adds to the growing list of records set by individuals from Assam.
On June 6, another talented artist from Assam, Nayanmoni Hazarika from Lakhimpur, gained recognition in the India Book of Records for creating a large-sized portrait of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. This portrait was uniquely executed upside down using ash derived from burning wood.
