The Governor of West Bengal, CV Ananda Bose, has been presented with the esteemed 'Malayala Ratna' award in recognition of his significant contributions to Malayalam literature, as stated in an official announcement released by the Raj Bhavan on Monday. Governor Bose was honoured specifically for his book, 'Myth and Science — Oru Punarvayana', which was also selected as the 'Book of The Year'.
"I dedicate this award to the people of Kerala and all over the world who have always encouraged me," Bose told reporters.
The statement confirmed that the award presentation took place during the ten-day International Book Festival held in Kochi, Kerala. The inaugural session of the festival was chaired by former Union Minister KV Thomas.
During the ceremony, Anandiben Patel, the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, released fourteen books authored by the Bengal Governor and formally handed them over to the Mayor of Kochi, M Anilkumar.
