The Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar will hold 'Vidhansabha Matdata Sammelan' meetings across all 243 assembly constituencies. The campaign will start on August 23, ahead of the legislative assembly elections.
Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal announced the initiative. It will run in seven phases over 18 days. Senior leaders from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will take part. They will highlight the government's development work. This includes women's empowerment, youth employment, and a 35 per cent reservation for women.
Speaking at a press conference, Jaiswal said the campaign would cover 42 constituencies in each phase. Fourteen meetings will be held daily across different divisions. He expects between 5,000 and 10,000 people at each event. The focus will be on informing people about government programmes and NDA efforts.

Jaiswal praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as a "Social Engineer." He said Kumar has brought major changes to 27 sectors. These changes have benefited millions of people. Jaiswal also criticised the opposition. He accused them of ignoring Bihar's progress. He said they create distractions with divisive politics.
Meanwhile, the Congress party has launched its own campaign. The 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' began in Sasaram. It protests against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision of the voter list.
