The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar has established leads in all four assembly constituencies—Tarari, Belaganj, Imamganj, and Ramgarh—where bypoll vote counting is underway.

Early trends from the Election Commission of India (ECI) indicate the alliance’s dominance in these seats, which were vacated after their representatives were elected to the Lok Sabha in the 2024 general elections.

In Tarari, Vishal Prashant of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading by 10,612 votes over Raju Yadav of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation after 12 rounds of counting.

Deepa Kumari of the Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), an NDA ally, has surged ahead in Imamganj, leading by 5,563 votes over Raushan Kumar of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) after 12 rounds of counting.

Kumari, the daughter-in-law of Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, had earlier trailed but gained momentum in subsequent rounds.

Manjhi had vacated the seat after winning the Gaya Lok Sabha seat earlier this year.

In Belaganj, Janata Dal (United)’s Manorama Devi, another NDA ally, is ahead by 20,968 votes against RJD’s Vishwanath Kumar Singh after 11 rounds.

Meanwhile, in Ramgarh, BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh holds a narrow lead of 719 votes over Satish Kumar Singh Yadav of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) after 10 rounds of counting.

Counting began at 8 AM under tight security. The bypolls, conducted on 13 November, witnessed voters deciding the fate of candidates contesting in these key constituencies.
