Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday appointed all his cabinet colleagues as 'ministers in-charge' of various districts.
According to an official government order, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha have been designated as ministers-in-charge of Patna and Muzaffarpur districts, respectively. Additionally, Sinha will also oversee Bhojpur district.
Vijay Kumar Choudhary has been assigned the districts of Purnea and Nalanda, while Bijendra Prasad Yadav will be responsible for Vaishali district. Prem Kumar will oversee Nawada, Shrawan Kumar will handle Samastipur and Madhepura, and Santosh Kumar Suman will be in charge of Aurangabad. Sumit Kumar Singh has been appointed to Saran, and Renu Devi will manage Siwan.
Further, Mangal Pandey has been entrusted with Darbhanga and Begusarai, Niraj Kumar Singh with Katihar, and Ashok Chowdhary with Sitamarhi and Jehanabad. Leshi Singh will be in charge of Madhubani, Madan Sahni of Supaul, and Nitish Mishra will oversee Araria and Gaya. Nitin Nabin will manage Buxar and Kaimur, and Dilip Kumar Jaiswal will handle Saharsa.
Other notable appointments include Maheshwar Hazari for Khagaria, Sheila Kumari for Sheikhpura and Lakhisarai, and Sunil Kumar for East Champaran. Janak Ram will oversee West Champaran, Hari Sahni will manage Arwal, and Krishnanandan Paswan will be responsible for Gopalganj. Jayant Raj has been assigned Rohtas, Jama Khan will handle Kishanganj and Sheohar, and Ratnesh Sada will oversee Jamui.
Lastly, Keda Prasad Gupta has been designated for Munger, Surendra Mehta for Banka, and Santosh Kumar Singh for Bhagalpur.
