Bill Gates arrives in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh. State's Minister Nara Lokesh welcomed him at Gannavaram Airport.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is scheduled to visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday for high-level talks with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, focusing on expanding collaboration in healthcare and artificial intelligence initiatives.

According to Municipal Minister P Narayana, Gates will arrive at the state secretariat in the morning to meet with the Chief Minister, alongside IT Minister Nara Lokesh and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.

"Gates will visit Amaravati to discuss widening our cooperation in health and AI with Naidu," the Minister stated on Sunday. The Chief Minister has requested the expansion of ongoing health initiatives across the state, with discussions also set to heavily feature artificial intelligence applications.

The Gates Foundation is already working in the Chittoor district, particularly in Kuppam, working on several health-related projects. Monday's talks are expected to explore scaling up these interventions to benefit a wider population throughout the southern state.

Following these meetings, Gates is scheduled to visit the Real Time Governance System (RTGS) to observe how technology is being utilised in local administration. A government source indicated that Naidu intends to showcase the system’s operational procedures and results directly to him.

In addition, the Chief Minister will give a presentation on his "Swarna Andhra 2047" (Golden Andhra) vision, which will focus on the recent reforms introduced in different sectors such as medical technology, diagnostic services, and 'Sanjeevani', which is a program that aims to digitise health records.

Concluding their engagements at the secretariat, Gates and his delegation will travel to an agricultural centre in Undavalli village, Amaravati. There, he will witness firsthand the application of drone technology and AI within the farming sector, the source added.

Narayana noted that Gates has previously visited the undivided state of Andhra Pradesh twice, and this latest trip follows an invitation from the Chief Minister aiming to deepen collaboration with the state government.
