Union Agriculture Minister cum Jharkhand Assembly election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the National Register of Citizenship (NRC) will be implemented in Jharkhand to throw out foreign intruders. He said that the BJP will release a detailed manifesto in Jharkhand that will include the issue.
Talking to media persons on Monday, Chouhan said that the demography of Jharkhand is changing due to Bangladeshi infiltrators. The tribal population in Santhal Pargana has come down from 44 per cent to 28 per cent.
He said that the population of Hindus has also been affected due to Bangladeshi infiltrators. He alleged that Hemant Soren and the coalition government are giving protection to the intruders for the sake of the vote bank.
Chouhan alleged that "Aadhaar cards and voter ID cards of infiltrators are being made, which is a big threat to the country. Tribal daughters are being trapped in the web of illusion and land is being captured by infiltrators who marry them."
The BJP leader cited the example of Rubika Pahadia, who was brutally murdered by cutting her into pieces. He took the name of one Ankita, who was burnt to death.
Chouhan further said that this election is not only for making the Chief Minister or for the power of any party, it is an election to save Jharkhand. “It is our resolve to protect the three - daughter, soil and bread,” he said.
