Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha clarified that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had "no role" in the SC categorisation issue. She emphasised that it was the Supreme Court's verdict, not the actions of Modi or Reddy, that had paved the way for categorisation.
Kavitha reminded that former CM KCR had passed a resolution in the assembly on categorisation, which was then sent to the Union Government. She advised the government to implement categorisation fairly and without dividing Dalit communities, ensuring justice for all.
Speaking at a meeting with the Dalit Bandhu Sadhana Samiti, led by Mahesh Kogila, Kavitha called for the immediate release of the Shamim Akhtar Commission report and stressed the need for the implementation of SC categorisation. She accused Revanth Reddy of misleading the public by linking the categorisation issue to job allocations. She also criticised the delay in implementing the job calendar, saying there had been no progress even after six months since the court ruling.

Kavitha also took issue with Congress Leader Priyanka Gandhi's visit, alleging that she had made false promises to Dalit families. She claimed that Gandhi offered ₹12 lakh to Dalit families under the Dalit Bandhu scheme, instead of the previously promised ₹10 lakh, describing it as a deceptive tactic. Kavitha further accused CM Revanth Reddy of mismanaging the state's finances, which had led to increasing debt.
She demanded the immediate release of Dalit Bandhu funds that had already been approved by KCR. Kavitha stressed that the remaining 18,000 Dalit families should receive their funds before the new budget is introduced. She pointed out that although ₹33,000 crore was allocated for the welfare of SCs, only ₹9,800 crore had been utilised so far.
Kavitha also criticised Revanth Reddy for failing to honour the 125-foot Ambedkar statue, claiming that the CM had disrespected Ambedkar and his legacy.
