Cabinet expansion of Hemant Soren govt on December 5

The expansion of Chief Minister Hemant Soren-led Cabinet in Jharkhand will take place on December 5. Apart from five ministers of the JMM quota, four ministers of the Congress quota and one from RJD are likely to take oath on the day.

 

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Central General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya today said that the oath ceremony will be held at Raj Bhawan on December 5 at noon.

 

He said that the new Cabinet will have experienced, energetic and inclusive representation, in which all the five divisions of Jharkhand will be represented.

 

Bhattacharya also informed that this time the youth, women and farmers will be represented in the Cabinet. He made it clear that based on talks with the CPI (ML), it has been decided that the party will support the policies of the government, but will not be directly involved in the government.

 

Notably, the list of MLAs of the Congress quota has got the green signal from Rahul Gandhi. Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir and state Congress President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh met Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday.

 

During this, the cabinet expansion to be held in Jharkhand was discussed. Rahul Gandhi has agreed on the names of the ministers to be made from the Congress quota.

 

Earlier, Congress MLA Rameshwar Oraon had met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and agreed with him on the names of ministers to be made from the Congress quota.

 

The names of Rameshwar Oraon, Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey Singh, Kumar Jayamangal, Pradeep Yadav, Shwettaa Singh, Naman Vikas Kongadi and Shilpi Neha Tirkey are prominently coming up in the race for ministers from the Congress quota.

 

On the other hand, RJD legislator Suresh Paswan is said to be the ministerial face of the party.
