The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested one Ravindra alias Aman Singh in the NEET UG paper leak case from Dhanbad in Jharkhand. Aman Singh is said to be the main conspirator in the paper leak.
Sources said that the CBI team has arrested the accused Aman Singh from Bindu Apartment in Bapu Nagar under Saraidhela police station area of Dhanbad.
Aman Singh is very close to Rocky, who is absconding in the paper leak case.
Rocky is the nephew of Sanjeev Mukhiya, who is involved in the hotel business in Ranchi.
It is learnt that Rocky had arranged for solvers to prepare the answers to the NEET paper after the leak. Rocky is a special agent of the Sanjeev Mukhiya gang in Jharkhand.
MBBS students from Ranchi and Patna were used as solvers.
According to the information, the arrest of Aman Singh can provide important information about Rocky and the solvers.
A team of CBI officials had reached Dhanbad based on the interrogation of the people arrested so far in the paper leak case and the information received from their digital devices.
Two inspectors of the CBI team have been conducting raids in Saraidhela and Govindpur police station areas since Wednesday morning.
Aman Singh was arrested from Bapu Nagar in the Saraidhela police station area, while his associate Bunty, a resident of Govindpur, escaped.
However, the CBI team seized Bunty's SUV and handed it over to the Dhanbad CBI office.
The CBI team has arrested Aman Singh and taken him to Patna.
After presenting him in the court of CBI's special judge, he will be taken on remand and questioned.
CBI sources have said that Aman has business relations with the paper leak gang.
Earlier, Bihar police had raided locations in Deoghar and recovered some question papers, which were found to be identical to the one found in Oasis School Center in Hazaribagh.
Later, the CBI team interrogated the principal of Oasis School in Hazaribagh and arrested him along with two others.
So far, a total of four people have been arrested by the CBI in this case. And four others were arrested by the Economic Offences Unit of Bihar police from Deoghar.
