CBSE results: Girls outshine boys in class X and XII in Himachal

There were 232 CBSE-affiliated schools for class XII in the state, and 108 centres were designated for conducting the exams.

Girls outperformed boys in both class X and class XII CBSE examinations in Himachal Pradesh, according to results declared on Tuesday.

 

As per data released by the CBSE, a total of 17,204 students had registered for the class X board exams, with 17,177 students—comprising 9,516 boys and 7,661 girls—appearing for the examinations. The overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 97.26 per cent.

 

Girls recorded a higher success rate, with a pass percentage of 98.09 per cent, compared to 96.58 per cent for boys. A total of 320 schools in Himachal Pradesh were affiliated to CBSE for class X, and the exams were conducted across 119 centres.

 

In class XII, 11,417 students registered, and 11,385 appeared for the exams—6,058 boys and 5,327 girls. The overall pass percentage was 92.76 per cent. Once again, girls led with a pass rate of 95.03 per cent, while boys recorded 90.77 per cent.

 

There were 232 CBSE-affiliated schools for class XII in the state, and 108 centres were designated for conducting the exams.

 

Students who performed well were seen celebrating their success with family and friends, marking the culmination of months of hard work.
