Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar is set to embark on a three-day visit to Jharkhand from April 11 to 13, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
During his tour, he will travel across different locations in the Ramgarh and Ranchi districts to interact with election volunteers and booth-level officers (BLOs) who played a vital role in the successful conduct of the Lok Sabha and assembly elections in the state last year.
Jharkhand's Chief Electoral Officer, K Ravi Kumar, confirmed that on April 12, the CEC will meet volunteers in Ramgarh to understand their experiences during the election process. The following day, April 13, he will meet BLOs at Dasham Falls in Ranchi to gather insights into their fieldwork in remote areas.
The focus of these interactions will include discussions on house-to-house surveys, the use of the BLO app, time management during polling, and other operational aspects of the elections.
The Lok Sabha elections in Jharkhand were held in four phases beginning May 13, as part of a nationwide seven-phase polling process that ran from April 19 to June 1, with votes counted on June 4. The assembly elections in the state took place in two phases on November 13 and 20, with counting completed on November 23.
