Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday thanked the Union Government for approving the establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Madannegi in Tehri Garhwal district.
According to a press statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has cleared the proposal, and the school will begin functioning in the civil sector from the academic session 2026–27.
Dhami said the new Kendriya Vidyalaya will help provide quality education to children living in Madannegi and nearby regions. He added that the institution would strengthen educational facilities in the area and create better learning opportunities. The release stated that both the Central and state governments are focused on empowering youth through education and preparing them for the future.
According to the official release, the school will initially start with classes 1 to 5, with one section in each class. The admission process is expected to begin within 30 days after completion of all formal procedures.
