Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with his wife Geeta Dhami, marked the auspicious occasion of Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri by performing the worship of Maa Adishakti Bhagwati.
In a solemn ceremony, the Chief Minister prayed to Shakti Swarupa Jagat Janani Devi Maa for the happiness, prosperity, and progress of the state and its people. Following the puja, CM Dhami participated in Gauseva, emphasising the significance of serving cows in Hindu tradition.
Sharing glimpses of the ceremony on social media platform X, CM Dhami expressed his prayers for the well-being of all residents of the state and the continuous progress of Uttarakhand.
He extended warm greetings to the people of Uttarakhand on the occasion of Chaitra Navratri and Hindu New Year, emphasising the festival's significance in worshipping Adishakti Maa Durga.
Dhami invoked blessings from Maa Shailputri, the first manifestation of Goddess Durga, to bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being to everyone's lives, underscoring the government's commitment to empowerment and upliftment under his leadership.
Chaitra Navratri, a nine-day festival dedicated to honouring the nine incarnations of the goddess 'Shakti,' is being celebrated nationwide with fervour and devotion.
Commencing on April 9 and culminating on April 17, the festival holds immense religious and cultural significance for devotees across the country, symbolising the triumph of good over evil and the renewal of spiritual energies.
