Chandigarh has been placed on high alert after fresh bomb threat emails targeted key locations in the city, including passport offices and the Sector 17 bus stand. Several government departments in Chandigarh have once again received bomb threat emails through Gmail, raising fresh security concerns across the city.
According to reports, the threats mention the Passport Office in Industrial Area, the Passport Office in Sector 34, the Mukherjee Office, and the Sector 17 Bus Stand. The emails reportedly warned that these places could be blown up.
Sources said the police immediately began investigating the matter. Several teams have been sent to the locations mentioned in the emails to carry out detailed checks and ensure public safety.
