The Chandigarh administration has announced that all government and private schools in the city will observe summer vacations starting May 23, in line with the traditional academic calendar recommended by the Centre.

 

An official from the Chandigarh Education Department confirmed that the administration is adhering to the conventional schedule and that all schools will remain closed from May 23 onwards.

 

Meanwhile, the Haryana government has also issued a notification regarding summer vacations for schools across the state. According to the official announcement, all government and private schools in Haryana will remain closed from June 1 to July 1, 2025.

 

Both administrations have emphasised the importance of maintaining the traditional vacation periods, considering seasonal weather patterns and student well-being.
